Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic last day of term at Tanfield Comp today. The two Steves (Barlow and Skidmore) entertained us with hilarious tales from their stories. As you can see from the video below, it was a fully interactive experience, which the children raved about on the way home! They encouraged us to believe that 'we are all writers'. My favourite part was when they said that you should write about what you know: YOU! They also took the time to talk to Leah about her 100wc post. What was your favourite part? Enjoy the video below - sorry there is no sound, but I've added a Youtube clip to make it more atmospheric! Spooky Literacy Day from Mark temple on Vimeo. Quickly, I ran over to the diamond encrusted gates, gazing over at the world of shadowiness. Cautiously, I pushed the gates which entered the world of rides. Once I was inside the gates, I could smell delectable candy floss coming from the stall. As still as a statue, I could feel the excited buzz traveling around the whole park. I headed over to the sign saying diamond fly. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted the neon flying diamond floating around. Flying! As soon as possible, I rushed over to the towering diamonds; when I climbed onto them they spun around, it spun so fast! Although I felt bilious, it was fun!
We were going on our first row on the sea today. This morning I looked out the window and the sea was calm, the sky was bright blue and the day was perfect. Quickly I woke up my sisters Leah and Lara who were going to help me row the boat. We each had our pancakes (which dad had especially made for us) and pulled on our life jackets which would illuminate the darkness. Anxiously we hauled the boat. When we were in the middle of the sea we stopped. Slowly the sky got darker, then thunder crashed I don't know what happened next because I fainted. We are all now stranded...
